Ladies, Show Em’ How It’s Done!

Posted: 08:54am on 11/10/2011

Hold on to your seats (or if you’re Paula, to your high heels!). Tonight, we’re in for a special double treat! Current “It” girls Jessie J and Willow Smith are rocking the house tonight as our guest performers. The finalists better pay attention and take a page out of their books. These ladies have THE X FACTOR in their DNA!

For those of you who’ve been living under a rock this past year, Jessie J is the totally cool and edgy British artist who exploded onto the charts with her debut single “Do It Like a Dude”. Her debut album Who You Are was released in February and charted at No. 2 in the U.K. As if that wasn’t enough, she went onto win the Brit Awards' Critics' Choice prize for the artist most likely to break through this year, and boy did she do just that! She’s now planning a full U.S. tour so stay tuned! Tonight, she’ll be performing her new single “Domino.” As her lyrics go, “Make this dream the best I’ve ever known.” That’s lesson No. 1 right there for all the finalists!

And the totally irresistible Willow Smith – the talented 11-year-old daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith – whipped through the charts with her debut single “Whip My Hair,” making her the youngest artist ever in the U.S. to have a double platinum single. Technically, she’s too young to even compete in THE X FACTOR (we bet Simon Cowell will reconsider lowering the age limit after her performance!) but we’re psyched she’s gonna hit our stage! This year, she received a BET Young Stars Award and BET Award nominations for Best New Artist and Video of the Year. Her debut album will be coming out soon! Tonight, she’ll be performing “Fireball.” And as the lyrics go, “Um, hello, can we get the party started, yeah!” We couldn’t agree more, and from what we’ve seen in rehearsals it’s gonna be smokin’ hot!

Be sure to tune in tonight at 8/7C on FOX to see both of them perform live. And check out our news later, as we’ll interview them both before they make their appearance!
