Rules

THE X FACTOR is offering SMS voting and services on certain mobile devices. All interactions will be accepted under the following rules and regulations:

1. Verizon SMS/Text Voting:
• To vote for your favorite act, you must be a Verizon Wireless Subscriber with an area code from within the Continental US, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Each Act will be assigned their own SMS/text message short code number during each performance show. Verizon Subscribers may text the word 'VOTE' to the 4 digit short code numbers promoted for each Act (9301, 9302, 9303, 9304, 9305, 9306, 9307, 9308, 9309, 9310, 9311, 9312). Only send the word 'VOTE' to the 4 digit short code numbers you see on screen, as you cannot send a text message with the word 'VOTE' to the toll-free numbers or to Twitter. Message and Data Rates May Apply.


2. Verizon Touch Voting via THE XTRA FACTOR App:
• If you are a Verizon Subscriber with an Android device, then you can vote via THE XTRA FACTOR App. Simply download the App, then follow the voting instructions. For Verizon Android 'tablet' devices, you will need to log into a Facebook account. For Verizon Android Smartphones, your vote will be submitted using SMS/text message. Please note, for the Verizon Android Smartphone voting, the short codes and keywords for the Acts will be different to those shown on air (keywords will be the Act names and the short code will be 9319 for all Acts), although your vote(s) will still count in the same way, and the vote windows will be the same. Message and Data Rates May Apply.
• To download THE XTRA FACTOR App, text the keyword APP or XFAPP to 9318 to receive a message back containing a link to download the free THE XTRA FACTOR App to be sent to the Android Market place or App Store. You must be a Verizon Wireless Subscriber on an eligible Android or iOS device in order to receive the download link. To see the list of eligible devices, please see below. 3. Vote Number Reminder:
• To sign up for the Vote Number Reminder Alerts, you must be a Verizon Wireless subscriber with an area code from within the Continental US, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Text the word VNR to the short code 5301 or reply with the word JOIN to a post-vote message inviting you to subscribe. 10 messages a month. Message and Data Rates May Apply.

4. Verizon Marketing Messages:
• You may also receive marketing messages from Verizon from the short code 5302. To opt out from or to receive help with Verizon marketing messages from 5302, please see opt out and help information in bold below.

6. Opt Out: To opt-out of any of the above, at any time reply STOP, QUIT, CANCEL, END or UNSUBSCRIBE to the short code you interact with

Users Must:

• Coverage may not be available in all areas at all times
• Administrator(s) not responsible for damages from use of service
• Certain Services may be changed without notice or be discontinued.

Rules:

THE X FACTOR is now offering information via SMS on your mobile device. All interactions will be accepted under the following rules and regulations:

1. To participate, text JOIN to the short code 21523 to join, 20 messages a month (frequency of messages subject to change). Viewers using the toll-free vote method from a wireless device may also be given the option to join by pressing 1 after the prompt.
2. Message & Data Rates May Apply to all messages sent and received.
3. To opt-out of the promotion at any time send STOP, QUIT, CANCEL, END or UNSUBSCRIBE to 21523.
4. To get help via SMS, send HELP to 21523 or e-mail info@telescope.tv.

Subscribers must:

• Provide their own wireless device;
• Be a wireless service subscriber with text messaging services;
• Be using a participating service provider/carrier;

• Alltel, Appalachian Wireless, AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Boost, Carolina West, Cellcom, Cellular South, Centennial Wireless, Cincinnati Bell, Cox Wireless, GCI Comms, Illinois Valley Cellular, Immix Wireless, Nextel, Nex-Tech, NTELOS, Sprint, T-Mobile, United Wireless, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Virgin Mobile, and West Central Wireless.

SMS Services:

The Service is offered on an 'as is' basis and:

• May not be available in all areas at all times
• May not continue to work in the event of product, software, coverage or other service changes made by your wireless carrier.
• Administrator(s) not responsible for damages from use of Service.
• May be changed without notice or be discontinued.
• This Service is a "Company Service' under the Terms of Use located at www.thexfactorusa.com/terms and your participation in the Service is your agreement to be bound by these terms and the Terms of Use.
• We do not use the Service to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at info@telescope.tv. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
