Everyone was rehearsing, some were even dancing,
Practicing lyrics, adjusting their tones,
In hopes they wouldn't be the one to go home,
Semi-Finals were here and everyone knew,
There was only one prize, there wouldn't be two.
Their music tracks were played in vocal rooms on blast,
Where they practiced so their name wouldn't be called last.
When all of a sudden the roar of a car,
And everyone knew Simon Cowell wasn't far,
He came in wearing a golden v-neck and even though it was late,
He called everyone: Fifth Harmony, Emblem3, Carly, and Tate!
This is a $5 million recording contract, he reminded them all,
This is your time to shine, there's no room for a fall,
You must sing for your life, bring it all to the stage,
Whether you're sitting on stools or dancing in a cage.
I want to see you all better than your best,
This week's performances are the ultimate test!
Then he signaled his posse, and in the blink of an eye,
Simon Cowell was gone, and he never said bye.
The acts looked at each other in utter shock,
Was Simon really there having that talk?
It just seemed too hard to believe,
Simon's shirt wasn't white and there was glitter on his sleeve.
Upon this realization, they decided it was a dream after all,
But they knew what they heard, they could still all recall,
They were back off to work with a new gleam in their eye,
This week it was time to do, not time to try.
Then the acts all crawled in their beds,
While visions of the $5 million dollars danced through their heads,
There was one final message before they drifted away,
"Good night to you all, you'd better do as I say."
Now the question remains, who will stay, who will go?
You'll have to watch on WED and THU to know!
And if you'd like extra holiday cheer,
You can watch Demi show me around her dressing room right over here.
