Does San Francisco Have The Next Lady Gaga?
When Simon Cowell decided to add San Francisco to the list of audition cities for THE X FACTOR Season 2, he chose Frisco for two exciting reasons: wackos and the hope of the next Lady Gaga.
No, we're not calling everyone in S.F. a wackadoodle, but Simon kinda did. "I wanted to go to San Francisco because it's wacky and you just don't know what's going to happen. There you have an opportunity maybe of finding your next Lady Gaga. Love the city. I think it's a very different kind of city to Los Angeles and I think we'll find a certain type of contestant there you probably wouldn't find in the Midwest," said Simon just before heading up the California coast this spring.
So, did he find the next Lady Gaga?
Did he encounter some wacky hopefuls?
Or did they find that certain special someone with the X factor?
New judge Demi Lovato thought the talent was pretty darned great. She said, "The talent here has been pretty great. I've seen a few people that really, in Groups, that really caught my attention. We were really excited for some people and I think it's definitely better than Kansas City." "Definitely better than Kansas," agreed Britney Spears. "I think the audience has been amazing. It's been uplifting for the contestants as well and it's been fun. It's been a lot of fun."
Tune in TONIGHT to find out for yourself when Season 2 of THE X FACTOR kicks off at 8/7c on FOX for a two-hour premiere, followed by an hour-long episode on tomorrow also at 8/7c.
