Simon has these lovely words to say of Marc: "He's a good friend of mine. My God, he's got opinions, Marc, and he's not afraid to share them. And he's funny and I trust him and he's both an artist and an executive and I like that combination. And I'm very, very comfortable with Marc and I trust him."
Wait, did Simon say "trust" twice? Yep, guess he really, really trusts him. And why wouldn't he? Marc has been making beautiful music since 1989, is the top selling salsa artist of all time, has five Grammy awards, countless other career kudos, and has sold more than 12 million albums worldwide. He's currently in Latin America for the second leg of his tour, which was the No. 1 grossing tour of this past August and September in the Latin music concert market and third overall in U.S. for that period.
As for what Marc has to say about dear ol' Simon, the Latin/pop star told us, "We're good friends for years and we get each other. It's a very weird, bizarre relationship because I don't even know why I like him. There's not a lot to like, but there's a lot to respect. I guess. I'm just kidding," he said laughing.
He is kidding! Marc brings that sense of humor to Judges' Homes as well as his praise for Simon's acts. "What I witnessed today, especially coming in cold, is Simon stands a hell of a chance. A hell of a chance."
