"We tend to forget we are in a pop competition and we are not pop," said one act about their challenges on Wednesday's PreShow. "We have an idea of what we want to do. They have an idea of what they want to do, so it's finding that middle ground," said another Top 6 act. "We have very different tastes, so it is difficult," said another act of her mentor. "I think it's gotten better, much better," said another. Which act said what? Click on the link below to watch the episode back and find out for yourself!
The judges were equally honest in talking about the mentoring process with L.A. Reid going as far as to say that Vino Alan's elimination was simply because "he did a bad job." Ouch!
Britney Spears also joined in on the PreShow Live fun with her new pooch, Hannah, in tow. Brit chatted with Jim Cantiello moments before she hit the judges' table to give us the lowdown on Hannah's highs-end duds and more! Hannah even has her own Twitter account! Follow her @hannahspears.
This week's PreShow, which features hosts Adrienne Bailon and Jesse Giddings and digital correspondent Jim Cantiello, also brought us an exclusive live performance by Eddie Serrano (a.k.a., Lil' Eddie), an artist/songwriter in his own right and one of THE X FACTOR vocal coaches. He performed his song, "I Die Everyday."
Also gracing the PreShow stage this week were fellow vocal coach Autumn Rowe, supervising choreography/producer Brian Friedman (who talked about how the fans chimed in on the Pepsi Challenge performances), All Access Pass host Laura, a few diehard X FACTOR fans (one of which declared, "I want my Vino back!"), and pundits Suchin Pak (DailyCandy.com) and Dave Holmes (New York magazine).
