But, it's been more than eight months since the Fab 5 graced THE X FACTOR stage and they've all been up to a whole lot of music making, gigging, and living their dreams.
For the latest on our Season 1 winner, Melanie Amaro, check out this news story. And, here's the lowdown on the best of the rest:
Josh Krajcik (second place): Our resident rocker with the gritty voice is hard at work on his debut solo album and has been playing some cool sold-out shows around the country. "Been traveling back and forth from L.A. and the U.K. working with some really great songwriters and making some great stuff. Really excited for you to hear it," he wrote on his website.
Chris Rene (third place): After the success of "Young Homie," Chris' current single, "Trouble" is making waves with fans and press. The video for the song debuted a few weeks ago, and Chris performed both "Trouble" and "Rockin' With You" on VH1's Big Morning Buzz. The artist has been on a radio promo tour playing to packed crowds nationwide and drops his I'm Right Here EP on Oct. 2.
Marcus Canty (fourth place): The man with all the swagger has a new single, "In & Out" (featuring Wale), which is available on iTunes right now. The video shot in Brooklyn is coming soon. He'll be embarking on a college promotional tour this September.
Rachel Crow (fifth place): Rachel's summer anthem, "Mean Girls" from her self-titled debut EP, is a hit with tweens and teens worldwide, and her video has garnered more than 2 million views on Vevo. She recently completed a tour with Big Time Rush and is prepping a sketch comedy pilot for Nickelodeon this fall.
