Paige Thomas on her flying act: "I was not scared. I wanted to actually flip on the way down, but it just wasn't called for in the song. I've done gymnastics and stuff like that and dancing. The string? My toothbrush is thicker than the string that was holding me. I thought it could snap at any time, but the material it's made of is meant for that. When I was coming down from the ceiling, I felt really angelic but I felt like I still had my edge. My outfit was very Star Wars meets runway and I loved it. I feel like an Ewok's leader."
Jason Brock on Simon Cowell's mean comments: "Oh my God, I was like okay he didn't like what I was wearing, obviously, and he made a comment on how fat I was in a roundabout way. I felt sad. I felt really hurt and I felt oh my God, how much can I take of this? Fortunately, I don't have to take it anymore."
CeCe Frey on bringing her spots back: "The spots are back! I felt it was necessary for this performance. I feel like there were a lot of my followers that were missing them. I'm still finding my way to being the artist I want to be. Right now I'm struggling with the challenge that the fierceness is not always appropriate. I'm trying to find the balance between being vulnerable and fierce. I'm a strong woman no matter what. Just because I don't break down all the time doesn't mean I'm not vulnerable and doesn't mean that I don't have a soft side."
Carly Rose Sonenclar on her edgy look: "Yeah, I like it. I feel great. This is more me. The last time it wasn't really my style and I think people kind of knew that but I was really dressed like Britney, but yeah this is really more my style and I love it."
Fifth Harmony on their new name: "Fifth Harmony came about because the public was able to submit names for us to choose from because we were going to get a new name and we looked at hundreds of different names and just felt that Fifth Harmony stuck out to us. It was cool to me personally because we're five individuals and our harmonies blend together. I feel like it kind of represents us, five different people," explains Ally Brooke.
Vino Alan on his soft side: "I almost broke down just cause L.A. tuned me into sing to the female that could be out there, but I didn't sing to anyone specific. I'm love-starved. I'm a tortured artist. I'm a hopeless romantic, a one woman man, so it's like, I'm not going to take advantage of having all this new attention from females. I'm a hopeless romantic, so it came easy for me to pour my heart out on a Percy Sledge track."
Emblem3 on the inspiration behind their mashup: "It was the producers and Simon who came together and went, boom, check this out, goldmine, 'My Girl' classic with awesome Katy Perry, fun song, party song, 'California Girls' and the One Direction track to fool everybody. We took all three of them and made it into a new song. It literally could have been a song on the radio right now," says Wes.
Beatrice Miller on a fun backstage moment: "Probably when [Emblem3's] Drew came in and spun me around and I thought he was going to drop me and break my face. That was pretty fun."
Jennel Garcia on owning her rock look: "I do feel more like a rock star. My old look was very typical. There was something that was different about me, but I feel like now, when you're in this industry you have to change. An artist never looks the same throughout their entire career, so I think it was my time. My first 18 years of my life I've looked the same and now I have black hair and bangs and I love it. I'm getting used to it. I hated it at first, but love it now it sets me apart from every other contestant so I'm real happy with it."
Tate Stevens on his song choice: "We were going through songs and we had a big list of songs, and L.A. was real particular. It was almost 'Against All Odds' from the movie and that's a great song, but he was like 'let's just get something with fire' and we came up with 'Wanted Dead or Alive.'"
Lyric145 on the Alice in Wonderland theme: "We were throwing out so many ideas and Simon was turning them down and he was like 'think of something like Jay-Z's 'Hard Knock Life' and then the idea started coming, and then we just came up with the 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,'" explains Jewlz.
Diamond White on coming back: "Coming back made me remember all the good memories I had performing that week and how much fun I had, coming from being eliminating and knowing you're going to be able to do it again is just awesome. I'm blessed to be back."
Arin Ray on this week's performance: "Wednesday's performance felt great. I felt like it was my best performance yet. My favorite off camera moment was my excitement after my performance when I was jumping around."
