Arin Ray: "My preshow ritual is listening to some good songs, such as 'Freedom is a Voice' by Bobby McFerrin, Pat Metheny jazz guitar, and I just dance around to try to get into my groove. Nerves are there, but you try to overcome that before the show."
Beatrice Miller: "I don't do anything. My preshow ritual is to pretend that I'm not about to do a show. If I think about it, it makes me nervous. So I just chill and laugh and talk to my mom or the other contestants and I act like it's a regular day."
Carly Rose Sonenclar: "No speaking for a little while and tea and lozenges for the throat. My favorite tea is Throat Coat."
CeCe Frey: "Honestly, getting my hair and makeup done and getting into wardrobe is like the evolution into my character. That is how I get into the zone. I just watch myself evolve into my onset, onstage character and then by the time I walk out there, I feel like, 'Yeah, let's go!'"
Diamond White: "I just like to focus on my song and my performance and I pray."
Emblem3: "We take our mics and we sword fight like they're light sabers and have an epic Battle Royale and it's awesome, and Keaton always wins," says Emblem3's Wes. "I always win, I don't know how. It just happens," says Keaton.
Fifth Harmony: The group that prays together, stays together? "Right before we go onstage, we pray. And, we look at each other and make sure everyone's chilling and okay," says Lauren Jauregui.
Paige Thomas: "My preshow ritual consists of meditation, prayer, and calling my daughter. I also request the presence of Mama Madness to take control of the stage and do what she knows how to do best."
Tate Stevens: "I have to take just a few minutes to be by myself, not talk to anybody, and kind of get in the zone and focus on what I need to do."
Vino Alan: "I focus on my breath, like in a meditative way to try to get me out of the way, you know?"
